We love it! Everything about it is great. The color, capacity and durability. We bought 3 of these and 3 of the checked.
Love the color, really love the front pocket so much, locks are smart, zipper is solid, charger is easy to take out/put in, wheels work great and handle is totally sturdy. Because of the pandemic, much of my travel was cancelled, but I did get to use it once so far and no complaints. Would have been helpful to have some instructions, even if digital, in particular on the charger.
I recently used this suitcase as my carry on, along with a small camera bag, as my only luggage on an 18 day photographic journey throughout India. The suitcase held everything I needed with room for some souveniers along the way. My companions, loaded down with 2-3 bags, were amazed and envious. Breezing past luggage carousels is worth every penny.
I really struggled with which style to purchase. I didn't want to regret my decision. I travel a bit and take my laptop with me which I usually pop into my Goyard tote bag. I ended up getting the Zipper Carry-On Max with front pocket in navy. I have only used the bag once so I'm learning what works and what doesn't. I put my computer in the pocket with a neoprene case for protection. It takes up space inside the actual bag which was a surprised and a bit of a bummer. I flew for a quick overnight in Miami so my packing was pretty light, but what I packed seemed to fill the bag. Another bummer as a spent a lot of time reading the reviews of this bag and quite a few people mentioned they packed for 4-5 days. I don't see how that's possible, but I have a trip coming for four days and I'll give it a try. People also raved about the wheels. They didn't strike me as revolutionary but they did the job. The navy color is okay, wish is was a little brighter? I'm in the design industry so a bit obsessed with color and style. Nice to have the charger available so I can sit in a quiet area, work and charge if needed. Overall I would give it an above average rating, but I think some of the rave reviews are perhaps overstated.
I needed to replace an old soft bag that lost a wheel and spent a lot of time looking at every brand big and small. I often take shorter trips and prefer to slide my laptop into my carryon rather than taking a second bag, so the front-load option was a key factor for me, and having it integrated into the suitcase a much more elegant solution than a pouch tacked onto the front from other brands. Do note that the front opening does not lock, and should someone want something inside your bag, it is easy to access the main compartment from the front pocket. Security isn’t my primary concern with a cabin bag - and if it were, I’d go with the latch options over zippers. To state the obvious, the hard shell will pick up scratches pretty quickly. This is a reality that you should accept - if you’re not comfortable with you’re relatively expensive luggage showing these signs of wear, I’d recommend considering if a hard shell case is for you. I prefer to think of them as badges from my travel. One highlight is the sturdiness of the wheels and extending handle. Both are top quality and as sturdy or sturdier than those on brands much more expensive. The removable battery was not a differentiating factor for me, but I do appreciate that it has both usb A and usb C, and I’ve found that in a pinch it can be used to provide some extra juice for a MacBook, which is extremely helpful.
