Where does Arlo Skye ship?
Free ground shipping: Arlo Skye is based in the USA and offers free ground shipping on all orders within the 48 contiguous states.
Shipping providers: We use FedEx and UPS to deliver your order.
International shipping: We also ship to Canada, Western Europe, Dubai, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Shipping fees, including airfare, customs duties, and any local charges, are shown at checkout after you enter your shipping address. FedEx and UPS handle all customs paperwork.
Delivery restrictions: We cannot ship to P.O. boxes or international US Military APO/FPO addresses.
How much does shipping cost?
Free ground shipping: Free ground shipping within the contiguous United States, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico: Ground shipping is not available to these locations. Shipping charges are calculated and shown at checkout.
International shipping: Shipping fees, which include customs duties, are shown at checkout after you enter your shipping address.
How fast is delivery?
Order processing: Allow 1 to 2 business days for your order to be processed and shipped from our Rhode Island, USA warehouse.
Delivery timeframes: Shipping times vary by location and method. A general guideline for free ground shipping within the contiguous US: US Northeast 1 to 2 business days, South East and Central US 2 to 3 business days, US West Coast 4 to 5 business days.
Times may vary with inclement weather and carrier schedules.
Please note: Orders placed on weekends and national holidays ship the following business day.
Why is my tracking number not active?
Once you receive your tracking confirmation number, allow 24 hours for it to activate. If it is still inactive after 24 hours, email us at help@arloskye.com.
What is your return and exchange policy?
Free returns on all orders shipped within the 48 contiguous United States. Unused items in original condition and packaging can be returned within 90 days of fulfillment at no cost.
To start a return, visit our returns portal, enter your order number and zip code, and the system generates a prepaid UPS label. Drop the labeled carton at any UPS Ship Center within 3 calendar days.
We do not offer automatic exchanges. Return your item and place a new order for a different color or size. Items exchanged for the same product become final sale.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3 to 5 business days of inspection, with an additional 2 to 3 business days for the credit to appear on your statement.
Returns missing original packaging are subject to a $40 restocking fee. Items that cannot be returned include used items, personalized or monogrammed products, orders of 8 or more units, gift cards, clearance or final sale items, and orders shipped outside the USA.
How do I start a return or exchange?
Our return and exchange process is fully automated. Because each item gets a unique shipping label, complete the process for each item individually. Download the label for one item from our returns portal, then repeat for the next.

When can I expect my refund?
Once we receive and review your returned item, we process your refund within 2 to 3 business days. The credit is applied to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card company, it may take an additional 2 to 5 business days to appear. You receive an email confirmation when we process your return.
Do you sell in stores?
Our primary sales channel is online through this website.
You can buy a limited selection at The Edition Hotel in Miami. Call ahead to confirm availability. Arlo Skye has no stockists outside the USA.
Product Design
What's the difference between The Carry-On and The Carry-On Max?
Identical in design and features, The Carry-On Max offers a bit more space. It is one inch taller and wider than The Carry-On, which makes it our best-selling carry-on. The extra room still fits comfortably in airline overheads and sizers.
Unless you frequently fly very small planes, particularly on intra-European routes or some smaller US carriers, The Carry-On Max is the ideal choice.
Should I choose the Zipper Carry-On or the design with a front pocket?
Travel light and pack more with the Zipper Carry-On Max, our lightest case at 7 lbs. It has the most interior space of all our models, ideal if you also carry a backpack or tote for a laptop and essentials.
If you want a dedicated laptop pocket, the standard Zipper Carry-On has a front pocket for quick access to a laptop, tablet, and documents. That pocket uses about 15 percent of the main compartment and cannot be made deeper due to airline size limits. Both models fit comfortably in airline overheads and sizers.
What's the difference between the Zipper and Frame Collections?
The Zipper Collection is very lightweight. Our FreeFlex zipper design lets you overpack with ease and adds long-term seam protection. The front-pocket model gives quick access to a laptop or pullover without opening the whole case. Available in a range of bright colors. The edges are not rigid like the Frame Collection, so for fragile items such as wine, choose the frame.
The Frame Collection offers excellent double-lock security and protection for fragile belongings, with a sleek look from the aluminum trim and caps. It is about twenty percent heavier than the Zipper Collection and you cannot overpack it as much, though it holds more than the Aluminum Edition.
The Frame Collection, Aluminum Edition is one of a kind, since you will not find many aluminum cases at the airport. The exterior will dent, ding, and scuff over time, and these marks cannot be removed, though some customers add stickers to cover them. Because the shells are aluminum-alloy, you cannot overpack this case.
What's the difference between The Polycarbonate Frame and Aluminum Frame collections?
The Frame Collection combines durability and flexibility. It has a lightweight, textured polycarbonate shell that resists dents and impacts, with an aluminum frame for strength and structure. Integrated clasp locks and back hinges keep it secure, and the polycarbonate shell flexes a bit more for packing than the Aluminum Edition.
The Aluminum Edition Carry-On prioritizes pure strength and a sleek look. Made entirely of aluminum except for the wheels and handles, it is very durable but less forgiving for overpacking. Dings and dents become part of the case's character over time.
If you frequently gate-check your luggage, a polycarbonate shell in zipper or frame style may be the better choice.
Why does the Lemon colorway have a different lining print?
The Lemon colorway is a special collaboration with Dusen Dusen. For her first foray into luggage, the Brooklyn-based womenswear designer reimagined our newest collection in a bold lemon-yellow exterior with a multi-color patterned interior.
We use a soft light-gray interior lining for the rest of our models.
Are your products vegan?
Luggage: The Zipper Carry-On Max, Zipper Check-In, and Frame Collection models are vegan. These cases come with a full-grain leather tag, which we can remove before shipping on request. Our Aluminum Carry-On models and the Zipper Carry-On Max with Front Pocket are not vegan.
We are experimenting with vegan leather, though it is less robust than real leather. Made from petroleum-derived polyurethane, it is not environmentally friendly and may peel after a few years.

Locks & Buckles
How do I unlock my case?
Step 1: Make sure the numeric dials are aligned to 0-0-0 or to the combination you set, then try opening it. Even a small change in the dials prevents the lock from opening.
Step 2:
Zipper cases: Find the slider on the lock itself. It is the small square button etched with TSA 008, just to the left of the combination dials. Push the entire slider to the right. Only then are the zipper pullers released from the lock. Watch a short video on releasing the slider.
Frame cases: The button is on the bottom section of the lock. Use your thumb to push it upward.
How do I create a personalized lock code?
All cases ship with a preset code of 0-0-0. Review these steps before you begin and store your code somewhere safe, since we cannot recover it for you.
Zipper cases: Make sure the zipper pulls are not locked into the case. 1. Confirm the dials are set to your current code, which is 0-0-0 on a new bag. 2. Find the small button next to the dials and press it with a pen until it clicks and stays pressed. 3. Set your new 3-digit code and write it down. 4. Push the slider to the right. You will hear a click as the button pops back up, confirming your new code.
Frame cases: 1. Confirm the dials are set to your current code, 0-0-0 on a new bag. 2. On the back of the lock, slide the switch fully from A to B, not partway. 3. Set your new 3-digit code and write it down. 4. Slide the switch fully back from B to A.
I no longer remember my lock combination code. How can I unlock the case?
Contact us and we will send a replacement key. The key and shipping are invoiced.
The clasp locks on my Frame case will not open, but the code is correct. What should I do?
This can happen when the case is overpacked. Lay the case flat on the ground, apply downward pressure on the top shell, and try opening the locks at the same time.
How can I replace my lock?
Email a photo and video of the broken lock to help@arloskye.com and include your order number so we can confirm you are the original owner. Once verified, we mail a new lock with simple instructions. A small shipping and handling fee applies. The swap takes under 5 minutes and needs only a Phillips screwdriver.
How do I release the fastened buckle on my compression straps?
Find the dots on top of the buckle, then pinch down exactly on the dots with your thumb and first finger.
Power Bank Charger
Is the charger removable and compliant with airline regulations?
Yes. The charger is removable from the exterior. Push the slider and it pops out with one click, which keeps it compliant with airline rules. If you gate-check your carry-on, pop it out and take it into the cabin. Chargers are allowed in the cabin but not in the cargo hold.
Can I bring the charger on board with me?
Yes. Chargers are allowed in the cabin of an airplane. They are not allowed in the cargo hold.
What is unique about the charger?
Our power bank is fast, with 10,050 mAh capacity and 20W adaptive Power Delivery. You can charge a phone to halfway in under 30 minutes. It has both USB-C and USB-A ports, and we suggest the C port for the fastest charge.
It includes short-circuit and surge protection. The casing is aluminum to dissipate heat. We use only Grade-A lithium-ion cells sourced from Panasonic in Japan or LG in South Korea, which cost about three times more than cells made in China. A battery of this quality would cost around $125 on its own, and Grade-A Panasonic or LG cells are hard to find.
Why don't your Check-Ins also come with a charger?
Airline regulations prohibit spare lithium chargers in checked baggage. Spare lithium chargers are only allowed in cabin baggage when the battery is under 100 watt-hours. The Arlo Skye charger is fully compliant at 10,050 mAh, equivalent to 37 watt-hours.
After pressing the slider, the charger is still not popping out. What should I do?
This happens when the case is overpacked and a hard object such as a shoe or book presses on the interior battery housing. Lay the case flat, open it to release the pressure, and the battery should come out easily. To avoid this, do not pack hard objects next to the battery housing.

Care & Storage
Is your product packaging made of recycled materials?
Yes. Our outer packaging is made from recycled cardboard. Please recycle it once you are sure you are keeping your Arlo Skye piece.
Does your luggage nest inside of each other?
Yes. The Carry-On and Carry-On Max nest inside the Check-In Medium and Large. Place the carry-ons in the dust cover first to protect the interior of the larger case. When nesting, point the wheels of the carry-on opposite to the wheels of the Check-In.
How do I remove scuffs on the exterior of my suitcase?
Our suitcases are made of polycarbonate or aluminum-alloy. Zipper and frame cases use polycarbonate, while the Frame Aluminum Edition uses aluminum-alloy.
Over time all hard-shell luggage shows marks and scratches. The corners of frame cases and the aluminum cases also pick up minor dents, especially when gate-checked. Scratches and dents cannot be repaired or removed and add character, though some customers add stickers to cover them.
To clean, mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water, wipe the area with a soft cloth, then wipe clean with a damp cloth. For tough stains use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Avoid harsh cleaners and bleach. Darker colors such as black and navy show fewer marks than lighter colors such as sage and champagne.
How do I remove scuffs from my luggage lining, The Backpack, or The Weekender?
Empty the bag. Mix a few drops of mild detergent with warm water, dip a soft cloth, and gently dab the stain. Avoid soaking the lining, since excess moisture can cause mildew. Lightly scrub with a soft brush in a circular motion.
Blot with a water-dampened cloth to remove soap, absorb moisture with a dry microfiber towel, then air-dry the open bag in a ventilated area. You can sprinkle a little baking soda on the lining, let it sit a few hours, then vacuum it up.
Are your bags waterproof?
Our luggage, backpacks, weekenders, and toiletry bags are water-resistant but not fully waterproof. We use seam-sealed zippers on backpacks and weekenders. The interior of the toiletry bag is waterproof, as is the side shoe compartment of The Weekender.
What is your warranty policy?
Arlo Skye luggage is backed by a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in parts and workmanship for the original owner.
The warranty does not cover cosmetic wear such as scratches, dents, scuffs, or stains from normal use, or damage from intentional abuse.
If an airline damages your luggage, file a claim with the airline first, then contact us and we will send a replacement part or repair the bag. We do not profit on repairs or parts.
For minor repairs such as locks, handles, and wheels on polycarbonate cases, we ship replacement parts with instructions at no charge. If your luggage needs service at one of our repair centers in Florida or New York, parts and labor are free, with a $20 flat round-trip shipping fee that we subsidize. Turnaround is typically 1 to 5 business days once received.

How do you manage repairs?
Contact us and we will guide the repair. For minor parts such as locks, handles, and wheels on polycarbonate cases, we ship replacements with instructions at no charge.
