Mesh windows on all four sides maximize volumetric airflow to ensure a cool and breathable space for your pet. This is particularly important for small breed dogs with stout noses (such as french bulldogs and pugs) that tend to suffer from respiratory issues.

Our 16lb chihuahua fit well inside the medium sized bag, with plenty of room to turn around. We were very impressed with the quality of the carrier (the zippers and the mesh) -- our little guy was so angry to be inside it and desperately tried to get out -- he'd have escaped or damaged a lesser quality bag for sure.
For those worried about how arbitrary Air Canada can be with pets in carriers -- we did not have any difficulty with getting him through the check in counter or onboard, but we did have to work hard to get the bag to fit all the way under the seat on the 787 airplane (sort of pushing down on the back end to get it to "collapse" a bit).
I would HIGHLY recommend this carrier to anyone looking to fly with a pet! Well worth the money!
(Also, we visited a vet and got him much better drugs for the flight home so he slept peacefully in his carrier on the way back!)

The Arlo Skye carrier is very well made with wonderful ventilation for our 7lb Havanese puppy. I bought the medium because he’s on his way to 14ish lbs. The carrier fit perfectly under my United seat and my 4 month old puppy was totally calm and happy throughout the flight. I was able to get a 15% discount which made the cost a bit more palatable. But very happy to have bought the carrier.

I was hesitant to purchase this pet carrier due to the price but once I received it, the excellent quality justified the price. It’s difficult to find a good quality carrier that has mesh ventilation on all four sides, so this was very appreciated. The material is durable and nice, and the pretty gold zippers easily zip. I ordered the Medium size for my shih poo who is 18 lbs and it seemed a little snug for him but he quickly became comfortable napping in it. I took him on an American Airlines flight and to my surprise the carrier was a little too tall to fit underneath the seat, but after a little struggle I was able to push it underneath. Overall I’m very pleased with this high quality pet carrier.
