I bought Arlo Skye on the recommendation of a friend. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it was exactly what I needed. It travels much better than my daughter’s Away brand carry-on of the same size. I am glad I spent the extra- besides, it’s pretty to look at! I got the lemon yellow color and I LOVE it!
I really love this suitcase. It’s well made, and the wheels are excellent, affording easy control. The addition of a battery to support my phone is great while traveling. I also love the color; yellow really stands out!
Absolutely love it. Got it for a week long trip to Italy because I was not about to check a bag and never get it as was happening to others all summer! It held more than I thought it would! Closes beautifully even when packed full. Definitely recommend!
I've compared many carry-ons, specifically polycarbonate types for maximum storage. Have ordered and tried many brands (Away, Monos, Tumi, Briggs Riley, Thule, Arcteryx, Timbuk2, Patagonia etc). Away products leave much to be desired at this price point. The best and most expensive is a Rimowa but this Arlo Skye is comparable in capacity (45L is very impressive) and the quality isn't too far off. We are talking about a very significant price difference between a Rimowa and Arlo Skye carry on but I feel like the Arlo Skye product will perform and last well for the price you pay. My only concern is about the repairability of the wheels (compared to a Rimowa or Briggs Riley).
College graduation gift for my grandson. He said it’s the best gift he received.
