We love sharing stories of our customers who travel the world with Arlo Skye. This week's spotlight, interior architect and designer, Sarah A. Abdallah.

Traveling with Arlo Skye since

March 2018. We've been to Paris, New York, and London.

Day Job

Owner of Functional Creative Design, a bespoke interior architecture and design firm based in New York.

Current Location

New York City.

Favorite City

Beirut, Lebanon for its amazing beaches, nightlife, restaurants, mountains, innovative architecture & design, and deep history.

What you're reading

I’m always on the run so I prefer "reading" through Audible. Currently, listening to Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment and How It Can Help You Find—and Keep—Love.

What you're listening to

Podcasts by Shaman Durek.

What you're working on

A private office space in Washington D.C., a pied-à-terre in New York City, and a commercial space in San Francisco.

Where you're headed next

My other home: Cairo, Egypt. Can't wait to see family and pay a visit to "El-Gamaleya" — a historical district where my grandparents grew up. Its filled with metalsmith workshops, spice markets and open air bazaars.

Advice when flying

Always pack your favorite items. It makes the ride more enjoyable when you have small reminders of your essential things to-go and little pieces of home.

Favorite word

Limitless (without end, limits, or boundaries): my personal approach to life is that we are true creators of our own journey.

Fun fact

I have a very contagious laugh.
